The United Arab Emirates said Tuesday it was pulling its remaining forces from Yemen after Saudi Arabia backed calls from Yemen’s presidential council for UAE forces to leave the country within 24 hours.
UAE’s defence ministry said it was voluntarily ending the mission of its counterterrorism units in Yemen, the only remaining forces it has in the country after ending its military presence in 2019.
